	The most famous of all the vehicles on the island of Sodor, Thomas the Tank Engine is considered by all to be a "really useful engine". He is a cheeky, fussy little engine who is always eager to help.
	Annie & Clarabel are Thomas' faithful coaches. Together, they work to help Thomas carry his passengers up and down his branch line.
	Edward is an older engines who is extremely kind to everyone. He is kind to the small engines when they get into difficulties, and kind to the big engines even when they are rude or impatient.
	Henry is a long, fast engine with a streamlined look. His vanity and temperament were made famous when the tunnel he refused to leave, for fear of ruining his coat of paint, was bricked over so that he could not get out!
	As the senior member of the engine family, Gordon is the fastest and most powerful engine on the rails. Although he is extremely proud, Gordon is good - hearted and is always willing to use his superior strength to help smaller engines out of trouble.
	James likes to think of himself as a really splendid engine. Occasionally, James' grandiose ideas about the sort of work suitable for a noble engine such as himself lands him in trouble.
	Percy is a junior member of the principal team of engines that runs the rails on the island of Sodor. This little chap is quite happy puffing around the yard. He is always keen to oblige, even though the other engines are apt to take advantage of him.
	Enthusiastic and friendly, Neville is an all-around good egg who wants to be part of the team. Unfortunately for Neville, he is a Steamie who looks like a diesel. Regardless, even when the other engines are rude to him, he does not hold a grudge.
	Harold is a good hearted helicopter who likes to hover above the roadway and rails of Sodor, always keeping a watchful eye on his friends.
	Bertie is firmest of friends with Thomas since their "great race", Bertie understands that both rails and roads are useful on the island.
	Spencer is just about the shiniest, sleekest engine the island of Sodor has ever seen A Striking silver express engine, Spencer was brought to the island as the private engine of the visiting Duke and Duchess.
	Lady is a very special golden engine, who holds the secret to the Magic Railroad.
	Salty is an older diesel who loves to tell tales of the sea. He will occasionally work in the quarry and other areas on the island, but is happiest down by the docks.
	Emily is a beautiful engine with shiny paintwork and gleaming brass fittings. After she rescued Oliver and Toad when they were stuck on the tracks, Sir Topham Hatt rewarded her with a brand new pair of coaches.
	Toby is an engine who is always happy to work, althrough sometimes he can be a bit tempermental.
	Molly is a large, powerful, and bright yellow engine. She is pround of her strength, but is also quite sensitive. She wants the other engines to think the best of her, and steams away from any conflict.
	When an engine is in distress, it's Breakdown Train to the rescue! It's magnetic lifting arm helps any vehicle back on the tracks or to the repair shop.
	Rosie is a feisty engine who idolizes Thomas, copying his every action and mood. This drives Thomas crazy, as he just wants to be left alone to be Really Useful. But why, thinks Rosie, can't they be Really Useful together!
